Hey guys,

Loved the show! I just wanna hang out and drink and watch Buffy with you guys It sounds like
you have so much fun recording these podcasts!

Anyway…Halloween is one of my favorite eps. You mentioned Oz saying “Why can’t I meet
a nice girl like that?” but I think the best part of that Oz/Cordelia exchange is when she says,
“Is Mr. I’m-the-lead-singer-I’m-so-great-I-don’t-have-to-show- up-for-my-date-or-even-call gonna
be there?” And Oz says, “Yeah, you know, he’s just going by ‘Devon’ now.” I just love Oz’s sarcasm.

I am so glad that you posted the clip of Giles going ‘non-verbal’ – I could watch that one over
and over again – he’s so brilliant. I wonder what the director had to do to get
that reaction from Tony Head!

Great work, as usual, guys – keep it up:-) Five Mr. Pointy’s from me. (But then again, any ep
with Ethan and/or Ripper gets an automatic five Mr. Pointy’s from me). Cant’ wait for the next
podcast:-)

I totally spaced Xander’s tattoo – why does he have a USMC tattoo if he turned into a soldier (as in, US Army, and the branches tend to be pretty clear about being a soldier vs a Marine, for example. I also thought it was interested that Willow became a girl who could walk through walls – Joss had made multiple comments about how much he liked Kitty Pryde from the X-Men (whose power is to phase through objects – you wonder if this was put in as an homage to Shadowcat. After all, she was one of the inspirations for Buffy’s personality…

Wow. I didn’t know about his death! You mentioned something about “if the actor who plays the character is dead, he’s not coming back”, but I thought…well, I didn’t know WHAT to think!

Wow. Now I know. Crap! I liked Doyle…

So, did he die before the first season is over? Is that why they killed the character off? I suppose it wouldn’t be hard to disguise another actor in the Doyle makeup…

I’m going to have to go back and watch the special features in all these shows. I never watched them the first time through for fear of spoilers. Now I’m regretting it!

Daniel, Yes we were all hopping that the character of Doyle would come back in the Angel comics. We did know about Glenn Quinn’s death.

Just an FYI about some comments made on this show. You talked about the character of Doyle never coming back in anything in the Wheddon verse. The actor that plays the character of Doyle, Glenn Quinn, did in fact die in 2002 from a heroin overdose. Some of the special features on the Angel DVDs include a commentary (can’t remember which episode, but I’m sure its one when Doyle is still on the series) have the actors discussing his death.

The doll the Whedons love so much is called (in English) ‘Burnt Bun Boy’. In his native language, it’s
‘Kogepan’. I can steer you towards a small one if you wish to contact me. As far as ‘turd boy’(?)…
I don’t agree that it has any connection to the Kogepan doll. It looks as if it’s instead an attempt to
look like a homemade version of the PBS cartoon character ‘Arnold’ (an aardvark with glasses). Of course
Shelly from South Park would nerd the word, “turd!”, while gumming her retainer. Now, what do you get
when a dog ‘processes’ kitty litter? RE-turd. I’ve enjoyed the 1st 3rd of this ep. Gotta finish it…

I love your podcast. You guys are so funny. I just finished listening to this episode, and let me tell you “Halloween” is also one of my favorites, now that I think back and remember it.

So, about the weird black and white camera thing… Do you guys think they might have been playing with the NIGHT VISION function? Wait… maybe not, because the video playback was in color.. oh well.
