Bad Eggs
The scoobies are taken to “sitcom plot device land” as they are each given an egg to look after as an exercise in parenting. Of course, since this IS Sunnydale, the eggs do not contain sweet, fuzzy chicks, but rather vile, facesucking, mind-controlling “bezoars”. Luckily, Buffy and Xandor manage to avoid being taken over by the nasty creatures, and rush off to save their friends from…whatever that is under the school. Also, in this episode, we are introduced to two of the meanest, toughest, rootin-tootin-est vampires to ever walk the vast plains of California! (Those Gorch brothers rock!)

Once a week or twice a week. It’s the one thing that makes my drive to work with taking! Thanks Guys!! Glad you are back!!
Yay ! You guys are back! I wish you would hurry up and get through these eps so we can hear what you have to say about the end of S2 and S3 (the two best seasons, IMO.) Welcome back and keep up the great work!
Ripper’s Rayne
Hey–I’m kind of a newcomer to the Watchercast, so I’m listening to old podcasts. I wanted to leave a comment about a debate you all had in a Season 1 podcast–either “The Puppet Show” or “Nightmares.” Forgive me if this question has already been answered; I’m just now listening to “Prophecy Girl” (as I type this, actually). Anyway, you guys were all wondering why Buffy didn’t have a Watcher when she was only a Potential, before she was Chosen. You’re right that Potentials usually have Watchers, and start receiving training when they’re pretty young. In the movie, Merrick explains this to Buffy–she had a distinctive birthmark that marks all potential slayers, but it was removed when she was little, so the Watcher Council couldn’t find her until she received the slayer powers. That bit of mythology never comes up again, but that’s how it was explained in the movie, and they never say otherwise in the series.
Yay, I loved the Bad Eggs episode! I hope this means all the technical difficulties are over. Also, Principal Snyder appears as a wizard on Charmed. It’s weird to see him peppy.
Keep it up!
If you look closely, the older brother is the actor Jeremy Ratchford who’s currently on Cold Case.
