Hey Guys,
I just wanted to throw in my support for this podcast. I am a recent Buffy convert, having picked up Season 1 on a whim after enjoying Joss Whedon’s Firefly/Serenity series. Little did I know that two weeks later I would be finishing up Season 7 of Buffy (Thank God for Amazon.com’s 19.99 per season sale).
After watching the entire series, I looked around the net for some appealing podcasts dealing with Buffy, and wasn’t quite happy with some of the ones that were out there. When I stumbled across this one, I was a tad leary about picking up a show that was just in its infancy, but I decided to give it a shot, and boy am I glad I did. I hope other Buffy fans find this podcast as it is very enjoyable to hear other fans discuss each episode of the show, and this is one Buffy-cast that deserves to be successful.
Best of luck, and I look forward to hearing more.
Jeremy, thanks a lot for the kind words!
(I’m still reeling at the fact that they were selling seasons of Buffy for $19.99! Dear God, I am JEALOUS! I think we picked all of ours up at the normal $45 price!)
Great two episodes to start of the podcast. I hope you all keep it up as you bring some well thought out comments based on the series. A lot like the buffycast. Please keep em coming.
I just got through listening to your second episode.
I WANT THAT HOUR OF MY LIFE BACK!
Just kidding. Kathleen, you know WAY too much about Buffy. Have you considered professional help?
Keep up the good work!
Mojo
Hi there. Just wanted to say I like your podcast. I hope you continue commenting on all the episodes; it’s fun to listen to you.
Also, on 1 or 2 you mentioned the uniqueness of the name Cordelia. You might have heard this since, but if you didn’t, she was a daughter of Shakespeare’s King Lear. She was a character who always told the truth and wouldn’t say anything she didn’t believe. Kind of sounds familiar, yeah?
Kio, Thanks for the kind words and even more so for the info on the name Cordelia, that’s awesome info. I never really looked into the name and from what you said there is no way that her name is a coincidence.
Thanks again.
$45 for a series! You should count your lucky stars! Each of the series was £80 in England, which hurt…a lot. And on Harmony – come on, the cat-fight between her and Xander in season 4 – “like i would ever listen to the sex pistols – yuk”. Awesome in buffy as well.
