I’m looking forward to listening to this podcast – incidentally, Dead Man’s Party was one of my least favorite episodes. I wonder if what bothered me bothered you. I guess I’ll hear soon! Unfortunately I missed you last night by a half hour, and I don’t have time at the moment to tune in.

Does anyone know why Hulu is taking down the Buffy episodes? That really irritates me, especially as Buffy is off the air. The availability of free episodes was part of how I continued to be a viewer of BtVS, and what led me to buy seasons 4-6. It was a great marketing tool really, in my opinion at least!

Very fun podcast. Earlier this year I re-discovered BTVS on hulu, then found your podcast. I had only seen season 3 during its run and was looking forward to actually seeing season 2 (which I had missed). Due to your spoiler alert, I stopped Watchercast and then watched all 7 seasons. After finishing last month, I just caught up on all your old podcasts and SO glad you’re still going strong. It’s refreshing to hear a true episode-by-episode so we can relive the epic. Dead Man’s Party is the first one I’ve heard “real-time” with your release. So, this is a word of encouragement to keep it up! You have another listener now.

I agree with you Troy on the “too muchness” of the characters in this ep. I also understand why they did it, but it felt wrong. I hated Xander’s argument at the party with Buff and really wanted to punch him. Xander does this time and time again on Buff – acting totally out of character. Like when he unquestioningly jilts Anya at the altar in S6 because he gets “suckered” by a demon. So much for not being a “butt monkey”. Love the podcast guys and girl:)

As always love the new podcast.

I agree that the characters seemed way too angry for Buffy being gone during the summer. Don’t get me wrong I completely understand why they were upset from a standpoint of she didn’t let them know she was physically ok and she just left without telling them.

However their anger seemed over the top. Technically Buffy would have been gone anyway during the summer because doesn’t Hank still get summer custody of Buffy? At this point it wasn’t said that he was a absent father, so the Scoobies would have been without Buffy just like they were the previous summer. So the whole excessive anger toward Buffy never sat well with me.

Always love to listen this podcast, it’s an absolute joy to listen to and I hope another epsiode is available before I go on vacation in mid October (we’re going on a plane and I don’t particularly like flying) so a new podcast ep would definitely be a welcome distraction.

Actually, I really liked Dead Man’s Party. I liked the episode and your episode. The drama was over the top, but the show wasn’t exactly realistic in the first place. It was exciting and albeit, out-of-character, but still enjoyable. Pam wasn’t. Ever. Keep up the episodes, they make my stinky school bus rides enjoyable.

    Hey

I am a new listener and I have been going through the podcasts. I noticed that you always talk about Dawn being the first to have a cellphone. That is not true. Cordelia has a cell phone in the first season. Buffy slammed her against the wall looking for a vampire. When Buffy leaves Cordy whips out a cell and says she has to tell everyone.

I love you podcast. It is the best buffy podcast that I’ve come across. Keep up the good work.

Side note…the funniest occurence of an obvious stunt double on Buffy is in Primeval, Season 4. Check it out. It’s hilarious. When Buff is having the final Matrix like showdown with Adam, keep a close eye on Adam and you’ll see an obvious stunt double with cheesy make up. it always cracks me up.
